One of the hardest things to do is to get kids to eat leafy greens. Many parents struggle with this as the sight of lettuce or kale or anything resembling a leaf is picked out of food with tiny hands. I came up with a recipe that has been approved by my otherwise picky eater. I told my daughter that drinking this would give her beautiful skin and hair, strong bones and a strong immune system and that every princess should drink it to make her more princess -like. This put a sparkle in her eye as she happily chugged away. She loves it so much that she asks for it even when I’m not around. Call it a princess potion or superhero smoothie, anything to encourage your kids to drink their greens! The sweetness of the banana and coconut meat mask the green flavour and is an enjoyable drink for princesses in training and busy moms alike.
- 1 bunch native pechay ( whole, no need to trim any parts except roots)
- 1 whole buko with meat
- 1 banana
Crack open the buco and scrape out the meat. Put all in a blender.
Add the banana and peachy.
Blend till all ingredients are combined.
Serve with a smile!
